Viva la Gong presents a unique and creative banquet of live music, outdoor theatre, cabaret, comedy, story-telling, dance and electronica. We’re looking for high calibre acts and brilliant local treasures to help us transform MacCabe Park into a creative feast full of sparkling surprises guaranteed to entertain.

Viva wouldn't be Viva without our community showcase. We're inviting cultural and community groups and individuals to be part of the day and showcase their unqiue skills and traditions.
Please note, there's no charge for taking part in the community showcase, and we do not pay performers for participating.
We’re searching for the best street food in Wollongong.
If you're an individual, community organisation or local creative business wanting to broaden our palette and show us how exciting social dining can be, come join us at Viva 2019 and share your food passion with the rest of us.
Priority will be given to locally grown and South Coast sourced foods.

We're looking for an eclectic mix of art, design and handcrafted goods all made with passion and skill by our fabulous stallholders.
Viva is a sensational platform to showcase the makers and creatives of the Illawarra region. This is a fantastic occasion for local makers to sell, get recognised and grow your business in a unique environment filled with live music, performance, colour and spectacle.
Stalls can be shared, however both applications must be on the same application form. Check out the Workshops and Activities section below if you'd also like to run an associated activity on the day.

Workshops and Activities
Do you have a passion for the arts and crafts that you want to share with the wider community?
Expressions of Interest are now open for Viva La Gong Workshops and Activities. Showcasing the innovation and creativity of Wollongong and the South Coast, priority will be given to Wollongong LGA makers and creatives.
Workshops using environmentally friendly, sustainable and locally sourced materials are encouraged. Wollongong City Council has a policy banning single use plastics at events.
Participating as a volunteer is a fantastic way to be involved and make a contribution in your local community, gain new skills and meet new people in a social environment.
There are several volunteer roles available, including site decoration the day before the festival (Friday 8 November), and the following roles on the big day:
- Car marshall
- Photographer assistant
- Site decoration
- Workshop assistant.
